The event, organized by the University\u2019s Digital Accessibility Unit, provided a platform for sharing best practices, challenges, and innovations related to accessibility in digital learning environments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Highlights<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Presentations<\/strong>: The event began with an overview of key milestones in digital accessibility at the University of Alicante, led by <strong>Rafael Molina Carmona<\/strong> (Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation) and <strong>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> (Head of the Digital Accessibility Unit). The speakers emphasized the university\u2019s commitment to ensuring that digital transformation is inclusive and accessible to all.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Talks<\/strong>:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Vicent Sanchis<\/strong>, an expert in digital accessibility for individuals with low vision, shared insights into how accessibility technologies can improve the digital experience for people with visual impairments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alena Nikolaeva<\/strong>, a product designer at GitHub Copilot, discussed practical strategies for making digital products more accessible to a broader audience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>HEDforALL Project<\/strong>: Rafael Molina, alongside <strong>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong> and <strong>Cristina Palomares<\/strong>, presented the progress and outcomes of the HEDforALL project, highlighting the development of accessible educational materials and methodologies for Distance Education (DE). The presentation underscored the importance of supporting students with disabilities through innovative digital solutions and inclusive teaching practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Bedeutung<\/strong>: The event was attended by 35 participants in person and over 300 online, with the recorded session accumulating 439 views.
